Yate & District Athletic Club are an ambitious athletics Track & Field club, based in the South West of England, in close proximity to both Bristol and Bath.
In 2019 work on a brand new 8 lane track will be completed, providing one of the best facilities in the area.
The club wants to expand it's membership and consequently need more coaches to join the team.
We would like to be in a position where we are able to provide coaching for every athletic discipline at every club training session.
We would also like to be able to provide coaching for all disabled athletics events.
To do this we need more specialist athletic coaches.
We will guide any prospective applicants through the process of becoming a qualified coach. Providing hands-on experience working with qualified coaches as well as funding the cost of the qualification.
To deliver unsupervised athletics coaching to athletes of various age and ability.
The ideal candidates will:
- Be aged 18+
- Be able to attend Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings from 7pm
- Be able to attend Saturday mornings from 11am
- Have already attained the Coaching Assistant award
- Have some relevant experience
- DBS certification
One, or more, of the following Coaching Awards:
- Athletics Coach
- Coach in Running Fitness
- Event Group Coach
