Ahead of the England Athletics Covid-19 pilot 19 July 2020 Yate and District Athletics Club undertook a complete review of our risk assessments.
The risk assessments cover training, competition and events and includes controls for facility, club and Covid-19 across the following four documents:
- Track (sprints, hurdles, endurance, steeplechase).
- Throws (shot, hammer, javelin, discus).
- Jumps (pole, high, long, triple, standing).
Whilst many of the controls needed for controlling risk are visible, such as cages for hammer and discus throws, some are less obvious and some require action by the club, volunteers, officials, coaches, athletes and other visitors such as parents and spectators.
For this reason we would recommend that you familiarise yourself with the structure of the risk assessments and the content relevant to you.
