This was our first year in the Premier League, following our promotion as Champions in 2016.
Swansea won the league with 17 points, Yate finished in third place, one point below second placed Cardiff Archers.

Having been the clubs Vice-Chairman from 2013-2014, Jeremy took on the role as Chair in 2014

Our club crest and motto is the same as the official Yate Coat of Arms “Pride & Perseverance”.
“Faster, Longer, Higher” is a play on the Olympic motto “Faster, Higher, Stronger”.
“By Skill and hard work” is the motto of Blackburn Rovers.
“More than a club” is the motto of Barcelona FC.

Mike Smith was the clubs founding Chairman.
He sadly passed away towards the end of 2019. We now have a memorial bench at YOSC to remember him by.

Neil Hayne, a Brimsham Green student, set two club records the same year the athletic club was formed.
Nothing special in that, but what is amazing is that they have stood firm for 37 years!
