21st December

Many thanks to all the  athletes and helpers who attended our fun ‘Quadrathlon’ at YOSC this morning.

The weather was very kind to us and it was great to see everybody wearing Santa Hats.

We all warmed up as group with a couple of fun games and then got down to business.

Designed as a measure of power, the Quadrathlon test consists of four fairly unusual events; 30m sprint, overhead shot, standing long jump and three bunny hops.

Todays results have now been added to the following databases.

Generally speaking, male athletes score more points than female athletes, also age is an advantage, so athletes shouldn’t really treat this competitively.  Instead, look to improve your own score over time.

As this test is an aid to see if athletes have improved their strength/power over a period of time, we will try and repeat the test Easter 2020
