CORONAVIRUS NATIONAL LOCKDOWN
CLOSURE OF YOSC (5th Nov-2nd Dec)
TIMESCALE
National Lockdown is due commence Thursday 5th November and end Wednesday 2nd December.
CLOSURE OF YOSC
Unfortunately, we must close YOSC during this period.
This closure will affect all events and training including those who train through the academy, coached group and individual training sessions, and any individual training.
It is our COVID Officers understanding that access to the YOSC facility is restricted solely to those carrying out work such as maintenance.
Access to the facility for training or coaching will be prohibited by law from November 5th.
The government have defined outdoor public places as: neighbourhood streets, parks, beaches, and the countryside, public gardens and grounds (whether or not you pay to enter them), allotments and outdoor playgrounds. Leisure and sports facilities are explicitly noted in list of places that must close.
We will of course stay appraised of the developing situation and advise any change as soon as we are able.
We recognise in these unprecedented times this will be disappointing news given the great community we have and the joy athletics brings to our members. The commitment of our committee, our coaches and our athletes has been fantastic.
Look out for some winter training routines you can do at home over the next few weeks whilst we take this break.
Stay safe.
REMEMBER… HANDS-SPACE-FACE
Keep yours hands clean, wear a face covering where required and maintain 2m separation unless other mitigation’s are in place.
