RETURN TO TRAINING
Great news – we are reopening and back to the track on Wednesday 2nd December!
Here’s a few details to make you all aware of…
The academy will restart on Wednesday 2/12/20 and run right through until Saturday 19/12/20 inclusive. All sessions will run as they did prior to this last lockdown with the same times, groups and coaches. We will carry forward anyone who had pre-paid for November into December (and part of January if applicable). All being well we will start again after Christmas on Tuesday 5/01/21. If anyone has decided not to continue please let Jeremy know so their space can be allocated to someone else.
Club training will commence again on Thursday 3/12/20 and run through until Saturday 19/12/20 inclusive (unless you hear differently from your coach). Please could all athletes continue to pay at the end of the month for sessions attended: £2 for Yate AC and Westbury members, £3 for everyone else.
Individual training outside of club hours
YOSC will be available again for training outside of club hours from Wednesday 2/12/20. Please pre-book with Jeremy (firstname.lastname@example.org). Cost per session is £3 per hour.
We will endeavour to open the bar for takeaway drinks only, but will be relying on volunteers, so please bear with us (we may manage a bacon roll on Saturday morning, but you may need to be patient…!). The clubhouse will not be available for parents/families to wait in during sessions, but you are welcome to sit outside on the stadium seating. Please remember a face covering will need to be worn when entering the club house.
As you may know, Yate is within South Gloucestershire which is currently Tier 3. England Athletics have issued the following guidelines for training in Tier 3:
Outdoor Organised Group Coaching in Covid Secure Environments
• Permitted for Adults and Children
• No socialising before or after sessions
• Groups larger than 6 allowed – but adhere to coaching ratios
• Spectating not permitted
• Spectating permitted for Parent / Guardian for supervision safeguarding purposes only
Travel to and From Training
• Under 18s and disabled people can travel into or out of Tier areas to train
• Over 18s – NO travel into or out of Tier areas to train
• Leaders and/or coaches can travel into or out of Tier areas to deliver athletics or running activity
Please remember to strictly adhere to all social distancing guidelines when training and on site at YOSC, remaining 2m apart and keeping your hands sanitised etc. This is for everyone’s safety, not least our hard-working coaches!
Do not attend if you, or any members of your household, are experiencing Covid symptoms or are waiting for the results of a test. Please also do not attend if you have been asked to self-isolate by Test and Trace, PHE or by your school.
