JOY BRAY
Joy is a UK Athletics Level 3 Performance coach working with high jumpers in the Bristol and South West area for 20 years. Her athletics background is middle-distance and cross-country. As an U17, she took 800m bronze in the national age-group championships and won team golds at English Schools and the national cross-country championships, representing Hertfordshire and Watford Harriers. After moving to Bristol as a teenager, she continued in athletics, competing for Bristol & West AC for another 8 years.
Joy was a member of England Athletics National Coach Development Programme (HJ) for 8 years, attending workshops and seminars at home and abroad, and has been part of England Athletics coaching and management team for Loughborough, Manchester home internationals and team leader for young English high jumpers at the annual indoor Hustopece Skakani in the Czech Republic, (2017). She has regularly coached local club high jumpers to national standard, and several have won English Schools, BUCs, or national age-group medals.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Joy is willing to coach athletes who are in school Year 7 and above, show potential for high jump, and who are willing to turn up to at least one session every week and work hard. Please contact her for a trial session if you are interested.

Thursdays – 7.00 pm-8.30 pm
Saturdays – 11.00 am-1.00 pm
