We understand that this years Avon Schools Championships (11 June) have been cancelled.

The Avon Schools website explains that this is “not because a lack of volunteers to stage the event (thank you to all who came forward to help out), but because districts are unable to field and manage teams on the day”.

We would urge all school age athletes to visit the Avon Schools website (link) for information regarding the District Trials (the first step on the schools competition ladder) and team selection for the South West Schools team selection.  Having a recorded performance on Power of 10 is extremely important for this selection.

The South Gloucestershire District Trials will be held at YOSC on Wednesday 25th May from 4:00pm.

This IS NOT a club competition.  Please speak to your schools PE department to make sure you are entered.
