Just to let you all know, unless you have made arrangements with your coach, tomorrow (Thursday 22nd December) will be the last training session at YOSC until Tuesday 3rd January 2017.

I hope you have a great Christmas and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our new years party at YOSC on Saturday 31/12/16!

We have had a great season, staying in Div 1 of the Midland league and premier of the YDL U17/20 & gaining promotion to the premier division in YDL U13/U15.  Next year, I am sure a whole new set of challenges will confront us, I am also sure we will be up to them together.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped this year, athletes, team manager, officials, coaches and parents, without you all, this club would not be what it is now and will become in the future.

Have a wonderful holiday and here’s to a great 2017 season!

Indoor competitions

Just to let you know there are a lot of ‘Local’ indoor competitions over the next few months but entries start closing soon.

8th January day 2 of the Junior open and Welsh Champs at the Cardiff Met Uni, entries close 22/12/16

Midlands Counties Athletics Association open, 14th & 15th Jan at the High Performance Center Alexander Stadium (Including outdoor throws) Entries close 15th Dec’ paper entries and 28th Dec’ on line.

15th Jan at Cardiff Met Uni, South West Indoor Champs, entries close 12th Jan on line.

5th February Cardiff Met Grand Prix entries close 2nd Feb’ (No u15 or below)

Midland Championships including U13 Quadrathlon on 11th & 12th February at the Barclaycard Arena entries close 18th Jan’ for paper & 26th Jan’ online.

Birmingham Open. Sunday 19th at Barclaycard Arena (this is a great event that we all try to get to) entries close 24th January paper and 31st Jan’ on line.

Midland Counties Open 18th & 19th March @ High performance Center Alexander Stadium. (Including out door Throws) Entries close 27th Feb Paper & 3rd march on line.

AGM Tuesday Night 6th December

After the success of the awards night with it’s slightly altered format and new booklet it is time to reflect on things ‘club’ related rather than the athletic success of league teams, English schools,  world master and GB para achievements.

So a final reminder the club AGM will be held in the club house on Tuesday night 6th December starting at 8.30pm this is open to all members so if you have something to say now is your opportunity.
