We are really pleased to let you we have a trainee Sports & Exercise Psychologist now working with us at Yate AC – Matt Cheesbrough MSc MBPsS. Matt has previously worked with rugby players and golfers and is currently working with football players, endurance and river rowers, students at a sport school as well as being an associate lecturer, aiming to enhance clients’ performances alongside their well-being.

On Thursday 10th October 7 – 8pm, Matt will be providing an introduction to sport psychology, discussing some of the areas he is aiming to help with whilst working at YOCS, providing practical examples of psychological skills and answering any questions. The one hour educational workshop will be a FREE event open to athletes and coaches but limited to the first 30 individuals to sign-up.
In the following weeks, from 6:30 – 9pm on Thursday 17th October and Thursday 24th October, you will be able to book one to one consultations with Matt lasting 45 minutes for free. There after £20. Matt will then be at YOCS every Wednesday and Thursday at the same time to provide individual pre booked consultations.
