Winner of 4 “Awards Night” trophies
One of the clubs longest serving athletes, Malcolm started athletics aged 18, joining the club in its early years and was still competing on the track in 2015 as a V45.
An endurance runner who competed on both the Road and the Track, representing Avon at both.
In 1987, whilst reviewing the years Road Running, the club newsletter said Malcolm was “the most improved runner to emerge this year…who has frightened a few other athletes who have had it far too easy for too long”.
In 1993 Malcolm was proud to finish 10th place over all in the Gwent Cross Country League.
In 1994 Malcolm set the 2000m steeplechase club record, he also set records in the V40 + V45 3000m steeplechase as well as the V45 3000m.
