GLORY WASSELL 1983-2004

Glory was a founder member of Yate & District AC, following a move from Bristol AC with Mike Smith and Vic Le Grand

She fulfilled many committee positions in her twenty-one years at the club.  She was initially appointed Secretary and held that position until 1992.

In 1989 she was made the Coaching Secretary and Head Coach.  This is a role most athletes will remember her for.  Specialising in Sprints, Glory always had a squad of athletes training in all winds and weathers.
