PAT GALLAGHER 1997-
ATHLETE PROFILE
Pat has previously represented Wales as a Senior athlete in 1967, aged 22, at the World Cross Country Championships and also on the track over 800m aged 38 (Copenhagen) and aged 40 (Barcelona).
After a move to Hong Kong she returned to England and joined our sister club, Westbury Harriers.
Aged 33 she started coaching, training and competing again.
On reaching the age of 35 Pat was eligible to compete as a Masters/Veteran athlete. Since then she has been successful over many distances; 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m 5000m, 5k Road, 10K Road and one 10 Mile.
Pat competes regularly in the Worlds and European Masters Championships. She regularly finishes in the medal positions and has held World Best Times and British Records over 800. 1500, 3000 in many age groups:

COACH PROFILE
Pat started to coach in 1982, initially to help her daughters and their friends.
She now spends a lot of time trying to help youngsters get fit and enjoy running so they might be able to compete to the best of their ability. She says that “Everyone can run, you just have to set your own goals”.
