HANNAH HOBBS 2012 –
Hannah started competing as a second year U13 on both the track and Cross Country.
From 2013 onwards she has entered many Championships on both the track and Cross Country.
2014 saw the beginning of medal-winning competition, as she won a silver medal in the South West Championships 1500m and a Silver medal in the Tri-County Cross Country Championships. She also earned a County vest when she competed in her first English Schools T&F Championships, finishing eighth in her heat.
This English Schools T&F experience would have proved useful as she continued getting selected over the next four years, finishing 6th in 2015 (1500m), fourth in 2016 (1500m), sixth in 2017 (1500m) and seventh in 2018 (3000m)
Hannah also represented the county at the English Schools Cross Country Championships, finishing forty-ninth in 2014, twenty-fifth in 2015, sixth in 2016, eighth in 2017 and thirty-seventh in 2018.
In early 2018 Hannah was twice selected to represent England in U20 Cross Country. She won silver in Seville, Spain and gold in Rotselaar, Belgium.
Speaking about Hannah in 2018, her Coach, Pat Gallagher said “Hannah is very easy to help. She works hard, perhaps the hardest part was to get her to ease off and have a rest! She has a good racing brain which helps – always gives 110%. She is now ready to move on to greater things if she wants”.
