The English Schools is considered one of the biggest athletic fixtures on the calendar. Wikipedia states it as being the fourth largest athletics event IN THE WORLD!
So, it is with a huge sense of pride, Yate & District Athletic Club see fourteen of our athletes head to Birmingham this weekend (July 12/13) to compete.
Fridays track (heats) events are:
- (10:10) – Amelia Honor – Junior Girls 800m
- (11:18) – Naomi Dawson – Junior Girls 75 Hurdles & Relay
- (10:42) – Seamus Robinson – Junior Boys 1500m
- (11:10) – Dan Brooks – Senior Boys 100m & Relay
- (11:10) – Issac Cory – Senior Boys 100m & Relay
- (13:21) – Max Elliot – Inter Boys 200m
- (16:19) – Kate Howard – Inter Girls 800m
- (16:34) – Abdi Hasan – Senior Boys 800m

- (14:15) – Theo Spurrell – Junior Boys Javelin
Saturdays Field events are:
- (10:15) – Fiona Barclay – Inter Girls HJ
- (11:45) – James Viner – Inter Boys HT
- (11:45) – Owen Merrett – Inter Boys HT
- (11:45) – Toby Conibear – Inter Boys HT
