Dates for you diary
Firstly we have just had confirmation that Chris Jones CEO of England athletics is visiting Yate and District AC on Tuesday evening 26th September 2017! There is no set format, he will arrive before 7.00 pm and be escorted around looking at our facilities, watching training, meeting coaches and athletes alike. I appreciate some groups are on a break but it would be great to have the track looking busy if possible. Photos and an article will then appear in the EA news letter in the near future. The T&F season is not quite over: on Sunday September 24th there are the Exeter Pentathlons: Exeter Harriers have already had enough entries to justify going with their event (which hasn’t always been the case in past seasons), but would welcome more. This meeting will be the last chance for many U13/U15/U17 athletes to compete in that age group. Don’t forget the cross country season is approaching, in case you don’t know, we have an agreement with Westbury Harriers that you can run for them (like they do for us on the track) at no extra cost (except the run vets) in cross countries or road races, if you are interested please let Ellen know so the appropriate forms can be filled in.
