The highlight of the Schools athletics season, The English Schools Championships, take place on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th July.

These Championships are said to be the fourth largest athletic event in the world and are now in their 87th year, having first been contested in 1925, only stopping for the Second World War.

This year, Yate & District AC can proudly boast having 10 members competing at the Championships, over a range of events and age groups.

A huge congratulations to Dalis Jones, Daniel Brooks, Hannah Hobbs, Ellie Leather, Ellie Wallace, Owen Merrett, Toby Conibear, Adam Brooks, Jack Moore and Joshua Snook.

Their hard work and performances have been rewarded with selection to compete for their County at this prestigious event.
