2020 was a year many people might want to forget, but Yate & District Athletic Club still manged to find plenty to celebrate.
38 Years ago today, on the 9th February 1983, Mike Smith, completed a second meeting with Yate Town Council and formed Yate & District Athletic Club, appointing himself as the first Chairman.
Further to the Prime Minister’s national address this evening, we’re sorry to inform you that YOSC will be closing with immediate effect

Here’s a few details to make you all aware of…
England Athletics are hosting their annual volunteer awards presentation tonight, via the medium of Zoom.
These awards are intended to “honour the fantastic contribution that volunteers make to our sport – shining a spotlight on the dedication, inspiration and hard work that they bring to athletics and running week on week”.
Following the government announcement of a second national lockdown from Thursday 5 November 2020, we are awaiting detailed guidance from our governing body England Athletics
